aZINGer

This week was QUICK

We are starting to see some progress in the area. The Windermere area is known for being pretty slow with missionary work, but we've seen some success with some part member families, specifically the Dewberrys.
We are also helping Elder Brower cover the Olymlia area for the next few weeks and the work is popping over there!

We did exchanges with the assistants this week and it was legit! I went to their area for the day with Elder Smith (a fellow Gilbert AZ boi). He's an amazing missionary and teacher, so I learned a ton! They are serving in a YSA, so it was a way different feel. We straight up threw a mini birthday party/lesson for one of their investigators. I kind of hope I can serve YSA before the end of my mission. Also, I got to see my ol buddy Elder Checketts over there (I can't seem to get away from that guy).

Funny/interesting stuff:
-The song Selah by Kanye West inspired me to use some verses from John chapter 8 during a lesson. It actually went really well, so thanks Kanye!
-We peer pressure Brother Bird into wearing his flamingo suit to church
-Our area has the largest (or one or the largest) McDonalds in the world in it
-We are getting fed so much that it's kind of exhausting
- Today I bumped into my desk with my phone in my pocket and the corner of the desk smashed the camera on the back of the phone. The phone is fine, but thanks to my clumsy self I can only use my front camera take selfies on my

No Beef

This week was a GRIND. Elder Johnson and I are in a temporary trio with Elder Brower. Along with covering two boppin areas and figuring out this 'being zone leaders of a brand new zone' thing, Elder Brower and President Ashcraft volunteered us to be admins of a multi-zone facebook page. Ninety percent of the time I have no idea what the heck I'm talking about!

Covering two areas means we get to teach twice as many lessons and we get fed twice as much, so we are staying really busy.

I've been loving the members here so far. We had dinner with the Moscrips, who live in the NICEST neighborhood I've ever seen. There were some BOUJEE houses in there. A bunch of famous people including Shaq, Grant Hill, and Vince Carter live in the neighborhood and the Moscrips are total homies with them. The Moscrips are amazing member missionaries, so I'm hoping to talk my way into a Restoration discussion with Grant Hill.

We've pretty much been teaching lessons all day, which has been awesome, but we don't have anyone in particular that's progressing really well. We just got a lot of referrals though so bless up!

My old district leader/homie in Brasilia, Elder Bryner, had finished up his mission and was on vacation with his family at universal studios. Lucky for us, universal studios is our neighbor, so he took us out to eat.

Some of these pics are from two weeks ago but here you go anyway

Go do yourself a favor and study Romans chapter 8. It's got some HEAT.

TRANSFERRED TO WINDERMERE

Today I'm leaving Merritt Island, which has been one or my favorite areas of all time! I'm super sad to leave, but word on the street is that my new area Windermere is paradise!

Backtrack to what happened this week in Merritt Island, we got Barry Allen on date for baptism! We had a really spiritual and inspired lesson with him that turned to baptism. We got ridiculously bold with him and it went really well! His baptism will be November 28th. The day I finally started seeing some tangible success in this area, I got transferred! Funny how that works.

We did a TON of service this week. We helped with 7 moves and helped the Hendricks (the GOAT member family of the FOM) do some finishing touches on their new house. Sidenote: the Hendricks are so awesome that I refer to Sister Hendricks as mom and Brother Hendricks as Uncle Rob. Gonna miss then and the other great members in that area!

We had a SUPER awkward and hilarious interaction with this lady who looked EXACTLY like one of our investigators. The resemblance was UNCANNY. Long story short, we pulled up next to her in our car and awkwardly tried to make conversation with her, while slowly realizing it wasn't who we thought it was. After about 30 seconds of painful awkwardness we could tell she was creeped out and she dipped.

Today I got to Windermere and met my new companion Elder Johnson. Me and him are a lot alike and I feel like we're gonna get along really well! He's from Mesa, AZ and loves to ball.
Windermere is a really beautiful and wealthy area! Our apartment complex literally shares a wall with Universal studios! The Orlando temple is in our area and there's a few Brazilian markets and restaurants nearby.
A new zone has been created in the mission and Johnson and I get to be the zone leaders! Do we have any idea what we are doing? Nope. Do zone leaders really do anything anyway? Nope.

For p-day I got to play basketball with some real hoppers, including the boi himself Elder Isaac Burnett, a homie from high school!
