A lil pub sub for the boys

It's been a few weeks since I wrote one of these so here's some updates.

Transfers are going down and Elder Johnson is leaving. Elder Cook is gonna be my new comp here in Windermere.
A new hatian creole area is opening in Olympia and they are gonna be staying in our apartment until the mission can find another place for them. That means there's gonna be SIX Elders in our apartment. It's gonna be chaotic but really fun.
Elder Duarte finished up his mission and is going back to Brazil. That guy has prohably made me laugh more than anyone In the mission (WHICH IS QUITE AN IMPRESSIVE FEAT), so I'm gonna miss having him around.

Jennifer moved back from Georgia/New York and got baptized. I've mentioned how difficult Jennifer is in the past, so it was a huge miracle. It wasn't in our area but she wanted us to come to the baptism since we taught her for a while. It was one of the less reverent baptisms I've been too, which is saying a lot since I served in Brazil. She was yelling about how cold the water was and munching on pretzels the whole time. Also Elder Johnson almost tripped into the font. But it was super rewarding to hear her testimony at the end.

We went to the biggest McDonalds in the world a few weeks ago. It's in our area right next to Universal. They sell a ton of unique stuff like pizza at that McDonald's.

We're still playing football with our Islander homies. We've gotten pretty close with them and it's looking like some of them are gonna be down to take the lessons and stuff. They gave Elder Johnson and I the nickname 'twin towers' because of our height.

The last few weeks have been pretty slow overall. We've had a couple of really spiritual lessons where we just got super bold and clear with people. Most people in our teaching pool have either been dropped or ghosted us. We're just having a really hard time finding new people to teach.

I found a couple feet of chain (the type to make necklaces) at walmart for two bucks and made me and Johnson some icy necklaces. Well now, the whole zone (and some other people) have asked for Elder MacLay's famous chains, so I'll be making those in my spare time. The goal is to eventually give one to President and Sister Ashcraft.

Recently I've had a reminder in my personal study how powerful the Restoration of Christ's church is and how powerful The Book of Mormon is. The story of Joseph Smith is so beautiful and the teachings of The Book of Mormon are so pure. I'm so blessed to be able to share Christ's restored gospel and I know the things I teach to be good and true.

"This nuts?"

I don't have a lot to report but it was a good week.

We had Mason's baptism on saturday. He was so excited and invited some friends.
For the baptism I played piano/sang a song I wrote fairly recently. It went good, other than the first 5 awkward seconds of silence where I forgot how my own song goes. Some people asked me "who's that song by" and I just said "hmmm not sure, I'll have to get back to you on that one."
The song is about how awesome the creations of God are, but how God's children will always be His most prized and loved creations.

-After the baptism, I had to get into the font to fix the drain. Luckily I had some shorts with me (don't worry, I have a pic)
-We also went to another little girl's baptism on Saturday. After she was baptized she said, "That was really cool, I've never done that before."
-On Thursday I did an exchange with Elder Christensen in Windy Ridge, which is a spanish area. It was fun to feel like a noob in training again because of the spanish
-Our whole district got on the tech deck grind (pics below)

"Unstable Unicorns"

It's been a few weeks since I wrote one of these but I've been good!

I had a real fancy time on Christmas and my birthday! We got spoiled like crazy.

The Moscrips had our district over at their boujee house for Christmas. We had a mini white elephant, watched Elf, and the Moscrips let us have a photoshoot with their Tesla.

The Roosna family from Merritt Island surprised me for my birthday. They showed up at my apartment door with a cake and asked where we wanted to eat for lunch. It was so nice of them and was super fun catching up with them.

Another fun birthday surprise was when my mom had the homies Luke, Ethan, and Emily over while she facetimed me. It's always a good time talking with "the boys" even though the connection was terrible.

There's this big group of islanders (polynesians, tongans, samoans, hawaiians, etc.) in the ward/stake that all claim to be related to each other. This week it seemed like they decided we are a part of their big family because they all were hooking us up big time. We got fed by them a bunch, plus we joined their squad that plays basketball and football twice a week. Not all of them are members so we got some work to do.

Noah (an old investigator from Merritt Island) got baptized about two weeks ago! He's amazing.

Once again, this is just a lil bit of what's been going on. So much more stuff happens but there's really no way to include it all.
